Style

What I look at: Style is subjective too. It is not about whether something is well designed. It is about how extraordinary it is. Is it only practical, or does it have that certain something that makes me think: wow, I would like to come back here, because it is extravagant, special, fancy? Does it fit its surroundings and make the place something special?

How I score it

  • 5: distinctive, designed, special. A hotel I remember because of how it looks and feels.
  • 3: pleasant and modern, but generic.
  • 1 or 2: dated or purely functional.
  • 0: dated, dark, heavy carpets.
