Friendliness

What I look at: Friendliness should speak for itself, but it is often the small things. How does the housekeeping staff greet me in the corridor? How is the general welcome? Do I feel comfortable and welcome in the hotel? If I leave dishes on the table at breakfast, are they taken away quickly and kindly? Is the staff courteous and attentive? And how does the hotel recognize my ALL status: an upgrade, a welcome drink, a note, or nothing at all?

How I score it

  • 5: warm, quick, personal and attentive. I feel welcome, and my status is noticed.
  • 3: professional and correct, but not warm.
  • 1 or below: cold, slow or dismissive, or my loyalty status is ignored.

This is one of the most subjective criteria. It depends on who is at the desk that day, and I rate what I experienced.
