Accor brand
Novotel is the Accor brand I stay in most often. It sits at around four stars plus and suits business travellers best, and it gives me everything I need without fuss.
You recognise a Novotel by its look. Blue is the main colour, cool and sober, and triangles show up everywhere in all kinds of shapes. The rooms follow the same line: greyish wood-look veneer, clean, modern and understated in design. Nothing flashy, but pleasant to be in. And the beds are super comfortable, which I like a lot.
The hotels are usually right in the city, often in the business districts, and quite a few sit close to airports. Examples from my stays are the Novotel Kuala Lumpur City Centre, the Novotel Warszawa Centrum and the Novotel Auckland Airport.
As a status guest I get an upgrade. Some Novotels also have Executive floors with a lounge for executives, and I always enjoy that.
I'm always happy to check in at a Novotel, and I'd gladly recommend the brand.
